MANAMI

How did you get into DD4D?

I've been selling apparel here since before the brewery opened at DD4D, when I was just running a clothing store. Regarding how I joined the apparel business, T's Factory, I first applied for staff recruitment at another store, but during the interview, I learned for the first time that my favorite brand "TODAYFUL" was handled by DD4D. Seeing my surprise and joy at that time, the president at the time said, "Would you like to work here (DD4D)?" Anyway, this job where I talk a lot with people matched my personality, and before I knew it, I had been selling at this store for 9 years. DD4D's beer business started around the time I joined the company five years ago. Was it sudden? I thought it was a completely separate business, so I didn't think I'd be involved in this much. I can't drink beer, so I honestly wasn't sure if I would be able to serve people who came to drink. I was looking forward to seeing it take shape.

Tell us your challenge!

I want to get more beer knowledge in my head! I myself can't drink alcohol, so I can't quite remember. I'm doing my best by asking customers who often come to me about the characteristics of the taste and taking notes. The DD4D staff don't have many chances to be in the store with anyone other than Reiya, but I think it's amazing that they were able to explain to the customers the types of beer that change every week, even though they don't have many commute. In addition, everyone is always stimulating by making use of their own backgrounds to make use of their own strengths and giving shape to their ideas.
Also, I'm in the middle of raising my children right now! Even if I try my best, I hope that my child will grow up to be a healthy and kind child.

When you're not at DD4D, what do you do when you're off?

I mostly do housework. Sometimes, if my schedule matches with my friends, I will go out for lunch while my child is in nursery school. Reiya-kun often says that I can clearly switch between on and off. Rather than recommending products that I like, I often find out what the customer likes and what they are really looking for through conversation, and then match products that match them.
That's why I would be happy if you could stop by with a sense of familiarity so that you can talk about anything. Some people may think that apparel stores are difficult to enter, but I feel that if they are interested and take a step forward, they will be able to do it with such a loose feeling.

Message to our customers!

I am grateful to the regulars who have been coming to me for four years to drink beer and buy clothes without hesitation, and to talk to me, who is in charge of apparel, without hesitation. When I came back from maternity leave, they called out to me, and I feel like I was able to open up to them even more. DD4D will continue to be a place where more people can come without hesitation, so please continue to support us!

One of the members who witnessed the rebirth of DD4D, which was originally only an apparel business, into a brewery. In charge of women's products such as going to product exhibitions to place orders and introducing styling on SNS. During the daytime on weekdays, I sometimes go to the beer counter. As a mother who is in the middle of raising a child, and as a Matsuyama native who has lived in her hometown for a long time, she has gained many fans by communicating from the perspective of various customers. Reiya, the store manager, calls her "onee-san" (?).
